The first day of the Firefighting program was exciting, The kids learned about the apparatuses and even got hands on experiencing climbing around inside the trucks learning about the many features each one had. They also learned quickly how to put on bunker gear and competed in a race to see which platoon could get the fastest time. After putting on all that hot gear the two summer students hosted a kings court game where you had to spray a hose at a ball to get it into the opponents net.

At this program the kids will learn:

  • Auto Extrication
  • Home Fire Safety
  • Basic First Aid
  • Firefighter Fundamentals
  • Fire Extinguisher Training

And much more.
